Cold air intake
A cold air intake is responsible for absorbing cold air from the atmosphere and sending it directly into the engine. By replacing a stock air intake with a modified cold air intake, the engine can perform a lot better since it can absorb more oxygen at a lower temperature, often mentioned as better ‘breathing’.

Identify dimensions of stock air intake and ensure they match with the aftermarket one
Ensure any stock electronic connections can also be supported by the aftermarket unit
Clean the surrounding area to remove any debris that could enter the engine during installation

Rear seat delete
The stock back seats on a GT86 are pretty unnecessary and are commonly only used for storage. By removing them, the car becomes much lighter, and there is also a lot more space for storing racing or drifting tyres as a replacement during a track event.

Locate all of the stock back seat connection points
Ensure the trim panels will not be damaged during removal
Figure out a way to reduce noise inside the cabin after the rear seat delete

Track buttons
These track buttons allow the driver to take advantage of some pre-programmed modes that enhance performance in different areas of the car. The first button can also remove all of the stock electronic safety features, such as traction control, offering the driver complete control over the vehicle.

Locate an empty 8-pin socket in the stock head unit
Ensure that the buttons can receive power from the car battery
Create a controller with all the desired modes
Connect the controller to both the head unit and each button

Removed the stock head unit
Removed the whole center console of the vehicle
Connected the pre-programmed computer with the head unit
Installed the button panel in an empty area on the center console
Put everyting back together and ensured all of the electronic connections were working
Tested each button separately to ensure each mode performed the desired changes

Unlocked different operational modes of the vehicle
Allowed the driver to better ‘communicate’ with the car
Aero components
Aerodynamic components improve the car’s stability and performance by controlling airflow around the vehicle, reducing drag and generating downforce.

Paint the aero components to the desired color
Ensure that the dimensions of the stock components match the aftermarket ones

Removed stock side fender trim pieces
Cleaned the surface for better adhesion for the new pieces
Installed the aftermarket aerodynamic components
